Valentino Spring 2011 Couture
Oh Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pier Paolo Piccioli you have me on such a roller coaster with your designers, one Fall season you’re having me raise my hands, the next Spring you’re leaving me crossing my arms in a bore. Well, this collection is of the latter. Seriously? Can we even call this couture? To me it looks a little more ready to wear, that red dress case in point. Also, holy shit...

Chanel Spring 2011 Couture
Wow, this collection is nothing short of near perfection. No, the silhouettes aren’t the most flattering, and yes the perfect baby girl pink colour is a little sickening, but it’s the details in this collection that want to make me throw up. It’s hard to imagine without actually touching the clothes or seeing them up close, but look at that delicate fabric that looks like it was...

Golden Moments
Last night were the Golden Globes and although super predictable and not funny, it’s not like that’s why we watch it, we see who is best dressed and more importantly, who were the train wrecks. Earlier today someone pointed out how this collection looked somewhat similar to Prada S/S 2011, and to that I say hell no. The only similarity is the bright colours, but since when does that mean accusation of stealing? Colour is colour....

Alexander Wang Pre-Fall 2011
Alexander Wang decided white really wasn’t working for him, and has gone black to his roots. Spring 2011 was dominated by the blinding shade of white, but this spring looks more neon and bright. However for A. Wang, it’s a collection that is um about 95% black. Not black were the pumpkin coloured dresses, and some brown jackets. In a world that is now seeming more girly, and flowing...

Valentino Spring 2011 Campaign
This picture actually makes me fond of the collection, because if you read this blog you will know I wasn’t a huge fan of their 2011 Spring collection, but this ad campaign makes up for it…I guess. Via Fashion Indie “These dreamy black-and-white shots show three different beauties, each with something unique,” Chiuri and Piccioli explain to Style.com. “This is a very feminine, stylish...
